Last week I returned from an amazing trip to the US. After spending time with two of my US tech clients, I then spent 4 days in San Diego with my coach and peer/mastermind group. This is the ‘team’ who drives me to the next level. Perhaps, not surprisingly, my coach (she is CEO of the most successful coaching company in the US) whilst supportive was challenging and held back no punches. It was similar experience with my mastermind/peer group – a mix of entrepreneurs, Hollywood producers, speakers and professionals. I left feeling humbled, inspired, re-energized and re-focused. Most importantly it took me out of my comfort zone, raising the bar to a totally new level.
Jim Rohn identified ‘who you mix with is who you become’. Time and time again I see business owners and entrepreneurs with amazing potential being held back by a peer group which do not match their ambitions. So today I challenge you to look at your peer/mastermind group: Do they inspire you? Do they hold you to account? Are they the type of individuals you want to become in 3 years? Are they raising the ‘bar’ for you?
